Mighty Mites

Empire's Mighty Mites program is designed to introduce our youngest athletes to volleyball in a fun, active, and fast-paced environment. Using age-appropriate equipment, softer volleyballs, and adaptive training tools, athletes develop hand-eye coordination, movement skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

Our coaching staff creates an engaging learning experience that keeps athletes moving while introducing the fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Through small-group activities, partner drills, and age-appropriate game play, players learn basic volleyball skills, teamwork, communication, and volleyball terminology in a way that matches their developmental stage and attention span.

The program is designed to help young athletes experience the excitement of real training and competition while building confidence and having fun. Because each session builds upon the previous week, consistent attendance is encouraged to maximize skill development and growth throughout the program.

Instructors: Mighty Mites is led by Empire Volleyball Club staff, including current and former collegiate coaches, local high school and middle school coaches, and current Empire athletes who serve as mentors and role models for our youngest players.
